Cape Coral police investigating possible abduction

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- Cape Coral police are investigating a possible abduction in the 1500 block of NE 2nd Street.

Officers say shortly after 4 p.m., a witness called authorities saying a man beat up a woman and put her in the trunk of a newer model, gray Chrysler 300.

“We heard screaming, like loud screaming and I stopped for a minute and realized it wasn’t like kids playing screaming, it was like someone was in trouble,” a witness told WINK News.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25 years of age, wearing black shorts, a sleeveless shirt, with a goatee and disheveled hair. The victim is described as white female approximately 25 years old.

“When I looked across the street there is a guy, heavyset guy, tall,” said another witness who preferred not to be identified. “When I looked inside the car, I seen a girl with blonde hair screaming, like screaming for her life.”

The vehicle was last seen southbound on NE 16th Place from NE 2nd Street, heading toward Hancock Bridge Parkway.
