ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) – A Guatemalan judge who is charged with racketeering in a widening bribery investigation into soccer’s international governing organization has waived his right to a bond hearing until he is transferred from Florida to New York.

Hector Trujillo said through his public defender on Friday that he wanted to be transferred to federal court in Brooklyn where the charges against him were filed.

The indictment accuses Trujillo of taking bribes for sports marketing contracts.

Fifteen other FIFA officials are charged in the latest indictment.

Prosecutors in Orlando federal court asked for no bond, saying Trujillo was a flight risk since he has no ties in the United States.

FBI spokeswoman Kelly Langmesser says the 62-year-old Trujillo was arrested Friday aboard a cruise ship at Port Canaveral, Florida.
