FORT MYERS, Fla.- R+L Global Logistics, a transportation company, will add 80 jobs in Lee County, announced Governor Rick Scott during his visit to Southwest Florida on Monday.

The company recently moved into a building, which formerly housed a Publix, on U.S. 41 and Island Park Road in October, needing more space for the dozens of jobs that will be added in the next three years.

R+L Global Logistics is headquartered in Ocala. This is the company’s third location in Lee County because it keeps outgrowing its space, adding 30 jobs in 2015 alone.

On Monday, Scott greeted employees and honored the company’s leaders with Business Ambassador Awards for creating jobs. The company moves freight anywhere across the globe and says they’re proud to continue to grow in Fort Myers.

“We’re really excited, again, to be here, not just in Southwest Florida, but having the opportunity to continue to grow and having the support from Governor Scott and the State of Florida to help that. You know, we’re not just competing locally, we’re competing on a global scale,” said Ian Morphy, R+L’s vice president.

The company is currently looking to fill a variety of positions. For more information, visit rlglobal.com.
