CAPE CORAL, Fla. – If you’ve missed Oktoberfest, don’t worry, your chance to celebrate German heritage and culture is back as spring nears closer. The German American Social Club of Cape Coral is proud to once again host their Gartenfest. When you think Gartenfest, you may think planting flowers in a garden, however there are no flower beds here, just beer, in the beer garden. Accompanied by authentic German food, music and a good time had by all. The festival kicks off Sunday, Feb. 21 at noon and takes place in the outside beer garden at the German American Social Club. Parking is free, tickets are $3 and children under 12 are free. The entire hitch of the Budweiser Clydesdale’s will also make an appearance at 4 p.m. The German American Social Club is located at 2101 SW Pine Island Road in Cape Coral.
