PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – A man discovered dead inside a car in the parking lot of the Punta Gorda Waterfront Hotel, located at 300 West Retta Esplanade, around 6 p.m. Sunday, was identified Tuesday by the Punta Gorda Police Department.
A preliminary investigation has determined the cause of death of James Ronald Gill of Bradenton to be a suicide, police said.
An official ruling by the medical examiner’s office is still pending, authorities said.
