NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — The Fort Myers High School music department will head to London Tuesday to perform in the London New Year’s Day Parade, according to the school’s website.

The marching band, orchestra, choir, parents, and supporters will travel overseas for seven days– and some for the first time.

In addition, the orchestra will perform in Cadogan Hall, and the choir will be at Westminster Central Hall.

Students like Victoria Regnert, a Fort Myers High School choir member, are looking forward to traveling across the pond.

“When I heard we are the first school to come out and march in the parade, it’s such an honor, to be able to go over seas and be the first band over there, I’m so excited,” Regnert said.
