MGN One person died in a crash late Sunday night on State Road 82, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Billy Ray Rose Jr., 36, of Lehigh Acres was killed at around 11:15 p.m.when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with another vehicle at the intersection of State Road 82 and Columbus Boulevard South, according to the FHP. After his 1995 Camaro hit the second vehicle, both vehicles came to a stop in a nearby water-filled ditch, state troopers said. Rose was pronounced dead at the scene. There were three other passengers in Rose’s car, two sustained injuries. The driver of the other vehicle also sustained minor injuries. The crash is under investigation.
