One man is dead after a crash in Collier County Friday night.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Robert K. Damon, 80, died after his car hit a Sabal Palm tree off Naples Boulevard west of Airport-Pull Road.
Damon was traveling on the road in his 2015 Chevrolet Equinox when his car exited the road and hit a curb entering a landscape median. That’s when his car hit the palm tree and came to a final rest in the median.
In the report, Damon may have suffered from a medical episode. He was pronounced dead after the crash.
Damon’s body was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital.
According to the report, the crash is under investigation.
