A glimpse inside the new look Hertz Arena

Proposed new look for the renamed Hertz Arena. The paint scheme still needs approval from the Village of Estero Design Review Board.

Major upgrades are coming to the Hertz Arena and WINK News takes a glimpse inside to show you the new look that will have big benefits for you.

There’s some noticeable changes on the outside of the arena, including this new sign that boasts the new owner’s name, and of course that fresh coat of bright yellow paint around the building.

The building opened in 1998 but this is really the first big renovation, and most of the has been for upgrades to the suite level.

As you take a look you might notice there’s brand new flooring and on top of that each suite is fitted with more modern cabinets, as well as new furniture including leather chairs.

It’s all finished with a bar top overlooking the ice rink. Eventually they will replace the scoreboard and renovate both the club and the restaurant.

The CEO of Hertz Arena says what you’re looking at now is only the beginning.

“We are working very hard to get more events into the building and it’s a mandate from Mr. Hoffmann to try and get some good entertainment in here so we can expect to see that within the coming months,” Craig Bush, CEO of Hertz Arena, said.

As of now, crews are working to complete the suite level by the first puck drop on October 19.
