Camren McMullen (CREDIT: Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office) An 18-year-old man was arrested in Charlotte County for an alleged burglary from a vehicle. According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Camren McMullen was found hiding in a canal after deputies attempted to stop him for riding his bicycle for improper lighting. Deputies say McMullen had a black bag on his lap as he fled. Moments after he fled, a woman nearby reported someone had gotten into her vehicle through a malfunctioning window and taken personal property including a bag that matched the description of what McMullen had. The items found with McMullen matched the description of the missing items, deputies said. McMullen faces charges of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance unarmed, larceny and failure to stop the vehicle as ordered by law enforcement.
