Lee Health reports 217 COVID-19 patients in hospitals

Lee Health reports it saw a dip in the number of COVID-19 patients in its hospitals. As of Friday morning, it was at 103 percent of staffed operational bed capacity.

  • As of Friday morning, there were 217 COVID-19 patients isolated in Lee Health hospitals.
  • Of those patients, four of them are being treated at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
  • On Friday morning, the hospital census was at 103% of staffed operational bed capacity.
  • On Friday morning, census in the intensive care unit was at 94% of staffed operational bed capacity. There were 29 COVID-19 patients in the ICU.
  • On Thursday, Lee Health emergency departments saw 820 patients, which is typical for this time of year.
