A clear sky will persist into Thursday evening with a few more clouds set to move in for Friday morning.

Cold, dry air continues to move in behind the cold front that passed through Southwest Florida late Tuesday night.

While temperatures were in the 40s for most areas in the morning, we warmed up nicely under plenty of sunshine and blue sky with highs in the low to mid-70s.

We won’t be quite as cold waking up Friday, with more of us in the 50s rather than the 40s. The warming trend will continue to be reflected in both our overnight lows and daytime highs through Saturday, with highs back into the low 80s for many by Saturday afternoon.

Rain chances begin to ramp back up for the weekend. While Saturday will be mainly dry, scattered rain returns ahead of our next cold front for Sunday.

Things will quickly dry up behind the front for Sunday night and in time for Valentine’s Day.
