Credit: MGN Charlotte and Lee counties have issued burn bans on Tuesday amid a continued fire risk. The burn ban in Charlotte County is for all outdoor burns including yard waste, recreational fires, and fireworks. Charlotte County says the burn ban does not apply to outdoor barbecue or cooking equipment as long as it is attended. the ban also does not prevent burns that have been permitted by the Florida Forest Service. The burn ban will remain in effect until it is removed by the county. Lee County commissioners also voted on Tuesday to enact a burn bun on Tuesday. The details of what is banned under their resolution have not been released.
