Pictures found in Bonita by Beata Lieders, and hopeful their rightful owner will find them. (CREDIT: Beata Lieders) A woman found family mementos on Bonita Beach but doesn’t know who they belong to. People save all sorts of gifts and mementos like birthday cards because of the personalized note left by your relative or your friend. “The signatures, the specialness of these cards,” Bonita resident Beata Lieders said. More pictures found by Beata Lieders. (CREDIT: Beata Lieders) We save pictures to remember someone’s smile or to remember how happy they made us. “This one is sandy, I can’t get the sand off, but we have a little boy,” Lieders said. The only issue is, they don’t belong to Lieders. Lieders and her daughter went out after Ian to see what was left on Bonita Beach near their home. A picture possibly damaged a bit by Ian. (CREDIT: Beata Lieders) “Any pictures with kids is very touching,” Lieders said. “Possibly mom and son and those moments to me of course mean more.” It also means a lot to Lieders because pictures of her 16-year-old son are what help to keep his memory alive. “Us personally we lost our son when he was 16 years old and so just seeing those cards and signatures on them what if those are the only cards and they were keeping them because they did lose somebody and that’s all they had left,” Lieders said. Lieders is very determined to get the belongings back to whoever their proper owner is. “I am very determined, there’s some kind of clues in these pictures,” Lieders said. “So I guess my daughter and I will kind of make it a game and hunt them down.” For the time being, she is holding onto them and will do what she can to bring them to their proper home.
