2 men arrested after Cape Coral fentanyl trafficking investigation

Two men were arrested Wednesday morning after Cape Coral police say they were caught selling fentanyl.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, 21-year-old Shawn Bonamy of Fort Myers and 26-year-old Thomas Bernard Dean of Lehigh Acres were arrested and face felony narcotic charges after an undercover investigation. The investigation revealed that Bonamy and Dean sold and arranged to sell fentanyl in Cape Coral.

Bonamy and Dean were taken to the Lee County Jail.

Bonamy faces charges of possession with intent to sell fentanyl, sale of fentanyl and driving while license suspended/revoked, for two separate incidents:

Dean faces charges of possession with intent to sell fentanyl and resisting without violence.
