Tuesday’s high temperatures will hold out in the lower 90s for most and the upper 80s for some. The record of 90 degrees in Fort Myers was last seen in 2022 and will likely be broken Tuesday afternoon.

Areas like Naples and Punta Gorda will come close to their previous records, set at 91 and 93 degrees respectively.

There is a chance for a few showers to develop and track across portions of Southwest Florida through the late afternoon, into the evening hours. These could begin as early as 2 p.m. and will generally begin inland and track westward, lingering as late as 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Better chances for much-needed rain arrive Easter weekend with isolated storms in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

Boaters can expect 1-2 foot wave heights with light chop in the bays given winds, on average, out of the southeast between 5 to 10 knots. Water temperatures are steadily climbing and are now around 82 degrees.
