Collier County’s Safety and Traffic Enforcement Bureau conducted a Fourth of July safety operation along Interstate 75, State Road 29 and Immokalee Road.
The operation focused on high speeds, DUI, reckless drivers and other violations. There were 72 traffic stops and 47 citations reported from the operation.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers assisted Collier County deputies in maintaining order.
