A husband wants nothing more than to share the world with his wife while she is suffering from an illness determined to keep them separated.

Be thankful, live simply and never give up is William and Beverly Crew’s motto while trying to enjoy the time they have left together.

William and Beverly have been married for 35 years and moved to Naples about 12 years ago.

Beverly has Parkinson’s disease, an illness that has progressively gotten worse since January when she fell and broke her pelvis.

Beverly uses a wheelchair and William can’t wheel her out of the house by himself.

Every time they want to go somewhere, William calls the fire department, and it feels like a burden to them but has nowhere else to turn.

“We feel like we’re almost locked in this house. We feel like we can’t do anything,” said William.

Willaim and Beverly are humble folks, but they’re asking the community for help.
