Precautionary boil water notice lifted in South Fort Myers

A three-day-long precautionary boil water notice impacting hundreds of people in South Fort Myers has been lifted.

According to the Lee County Government, bacterial testing indicates the drinking water is safe for those impacted off Winkler Road in neighborhoods from Banya Bay to Woodgate Drive.

Approximately 580 residents were impacted by the notice.

The precautionary notice was put into effect on Tuesday.
