CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A 42-year-old man is dead after crashing his motorcycle into a tree Sunday morning. The crash happened at 8:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Southeast 16th Street. Police said Ogden was driving at a high rate of speed, when he tried to slow down and hit a tree in a front yard. The homeowner and neighbor told police they heard a loud noise in the middle of the night, but did not go outside to see what caused the commotion. In the morning, the homeowner found the motorcycle in the tree. Investigators are still working to determine if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
