LANTANA, Fla. (AP) – The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office says one person remains in critical condition following a fatal helicopter crash near the Lantana airport.
On Tuesday morning officials released the identities of the two people who were aboard the helicopter when it crashed Monday morning.
Thirty-four-year-old pilot Luis Aviles died in the crash. The student pilot, 25-year-old Jonathan Desouza of Boynton Beach, remains in critical condition.
Officials say the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
