Pancreatic cancer research and awareness

FORT MYERS, Fla.- Nearly 50,000 people in the U.S. are living with pancreatic cancer at any given time.

Pancreatic cancer also accounts for about 7 percent of all cancer deaths.

Barb “Fergie” Beeson and David Bayer both beat the disease. They join us in the studio with more on two events to raise money for research and awareness.

Fergie Day:
*Saturday, Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
*Chico’s at The Bell Tower Shops.
*Ten percent of all proceeds will be donated to Lustgarten Foundation.

Pancreatic Cancer Walk:
*Saturday, Feb. 28 at Lakes Regional Park in Fort Myers.
*Pre-registration fee $50, walk-in registration fee $60
*Registration 8 a.m., walk starts at 9 a.m.
*Pancreatic Cancer Research Events are a great way to increase funding for research and raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.
