Contractors protest against Collier County commissioner

Published: Updated:

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- Protesters outside of the Mercato shops are angry about a dispute between Collier County Commissioner Georgia Hiller and a contractor.

A contractor claims Hiller owes him nearly $100,000 for work done to her home.

Tuesday, a judge will decide if the commissioner has to pay up.

The contractor that organized the protest says they’re upset that Hiller did not pay the contractor who did work on her house.

A judge Tuesday afternoon will decide whether to drop the lawsuit after Hiller filed a motion.
