CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Cape Coral Police confirm to WINK News they received a 911 call from someone saying a firearm had been discharged inside the Super Target at 1890 NE Pine Island Road.
A witness in the store at the time of the incident tells WINK News a customer’s gun may have been accidentally discharged near the check out lines in the front of the store.
The witness also said that a young child possibly reached into a purse and fired the gun. A woman with the child left the store and police are searching for the car. The bullet left a small hole in the floor and lodged into the ceiling. No one was injured.
