FORT MYERS Fla. — The owners of Fort Myers based Soaring Sky said they are the first FAA approved drone company in SWFL. Owner Daniel Barres says he and his wife Sarah were introduced to drones when they needed aerial shots for their real estate development business. Barres saw the potential and formed Soaring Sky. The company sells drones, provides training and offers for hire services.
Barres said the process to obtain an FAA approval took about a year. He said the advantages of being approved are far reaching.
