Changes for class today in Lee and Collier counties

LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Some Southwest Florida students are off Monday, while other are leaving class early.

Lee County schools are closed to observe the Jewish New Year known as Rosh Hasanah.

Meanwhile, students in Collier County will be dismissed early Monday. The early dismissal is to allow teachers and staff to design challenging lesson plans for the school year.

This is also means no after school care for students who normally stay after school.
