NAPLES, Fla. – Investigators are not saying whether a 3-acre fire in Golden Gate Estates on 66th Avenue NE, off of Everglades Boulevard, is suspicious. The blaze scorched a shed and burned through nearby brush on Monday, but property owners would not comment on whether the fire was an accident. Local and state fire marshals were unable to salvage the shed due to safety concerns regarding ammunition inside. They used lake water on the property to fight the fire. Multiple agencies are investigating its cause.
