Junior Golfers Prepare for Summer Tournaments

Published:

ESTERO, Fla. – Most young golfers will spend their summer enhancing their skills with private lessons or attend a golf camp but they may never play in an actual tournament. However the Southwest Florida Jr. Golf Association is working to enhance the skills of young golfers by doing just that, tournament play.

For 42 years the association has been working with young golfers in Southwest Florida to improve and enhance their skills through workshops and summer tournament style playing. Over the summer, participants will play in 8 different tournaments, at a new course each week.

Tournaments are split into a 9 and 18 hole division, depending on the age and skill level of the golfer. The program is $123 for the entire summer and is designed to improve the skills of those who have already golfed and are familiar with the game.
