Collier aide accused of slapping student bonds out of jail

NAPLES, Fla. — A Collier County student aide accused of slapping a blind student at Big Cypress Elementary School was released on bond Thursday night.

Barbara Margaron, 47, was caught on camera slapping a blind child across the face in the school’s cafeteria. A judge had agreed to reduce her bond from $50,000 to $2,000 Thursday afternoon.

Margaron has a court hearing scheduled for Nov. 30 at 8:30 a.m.
