FORT MYERS, Fla. The FGCU baseball team beat the No. 1 ranked Florida State University 5-2 Wednesday night at JetBlue Park.
The Eagles overcame a sluggish first inning to earn their first victory over a No. 1 team in program history.
FGCU gave up two runs in the first inning, but held the Seminoles scoreless for the rest of the game.
The Eagles will face Rutgers University at Swanson Stadium on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
