FPL restores power to all customers

FORT MYERS, Fla. Power was restored to all Florida Power and Light customers Sunday in Southwest Florida.

The utility estimated power would be restored to all but an isolated few by the end of Friday, but about 10 customers remained without power Saturday evening.

FPL is providing county-by-county data on its website, where it reported 0 Southwest Florida customers without power as of 9 a.m.:

  • Charlotte County: 0 (0 percent of customers)
  • Collier County: 0 (0 percent of customers)
  • DeSoto County: 0 (0 percent of customers)
  • Glades County: 0 (0 percent of customers)
  • Hendry County: 0 ( 0 percent of customers)
  • Highlands County: 0 (0 percent of customers)
  • Lee County: 0 (0 percent of customers)

There were 1,561 electric cooperative customer outages at 9 a.m. Saturday in Collier County, 2,068 in Lee and 335 in Hendry, according to Florida State Emergency Response Team data.
