PUNTA GORDA, Fla. A 30-year-old woman was accused of driving under the influence Tuesday with her son in the car, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
Christina M. Mcklveen, of North Fort Myers, brought her mother to gather her belongings at the 16000 block of Aralia Drive, according to a sheriff’s office report. Deputies responded to the scene after Mcklveen’s mother and grandmother got into an argument.
A deputy noticed Mcklveen was intoxicated and told her to call a friend to pick her up, the report said. Shortly after calling a friend, Mcklveen drove off in her Ford explorer with her mother and 7-year-old son.
Mcklveen was pulled over and asked to conduct field sobriety exercises, the report said. Mcklveen told the deputy she had drank two pints of vodka.
Mcklveen faces charges of DUI of .15 or higher blood alcohol with a person under 18 and neglect to a child without great bodily harm.
Her bond was set at $10,000.
