A road rage video has neighbors shocked. An altercation between two drivers was caught on camera, and neighbors said its unacceptable for people to act this way. No one involved has been arrested for the quarrel that many saw in public.

On Saturday, a driver altercation broke out near Southeast 24th Avenue and Hancock Bridge Parkway in Cape Coral.

“Just to know things like that happen you know when you’re out in all this traffic,” said Master Sgt. Allan Kolak of Cape Coral Police Department.

The incident is under investigation by CCPD.

“It’s just weird,” said Connie Snivley of North Fort Myers. “Weird.”

In the video, a female driver is recorded exiting her car on Hancock and bangs on the back of a dark-painted SUV.

In the video, the driver in the SUV exits the vehicle and appears to break the window of a white car.

Shattered glass remains on the road two days after the crash.

“I don’t know where that rage comes from,” Snively said.

Most people are confused by why the rage between the drivers occurred.

“We all have things that bother us, but most people don’t act it out,” said Edward Carroll of Cape Coral.

Cape Coral police called the video from over the weekend disturbing and said both drivers could face charges.

“You could also possibly get into aggravated assault if they’re trying to use their vehicle as a weapon,” Kolak said. “If there was any damage to either of the vehicles, now you’re getting into criminal mischief,” said.

The incident is under investigation.

“It’s one thing for a 2-year-old to do it,” Carroll said. “But it’s another thing for a 35 or 40-year-old man or woman to be out beating on each other’s cars.”
