A year and a half after being damaged by Hurricane Irma, the Hollywood 20 movie theater in Naples is reopen for business.

“After the hurricane had passed, we drove by and saw that the roof was damaged and everything was boarded up” Rafael Olivo said. “And I was like, ‘Oh no. Hopefully it opens up soon.'”

As part of its reopening, the theater is offering $3 movies and popcorn. Old favorites will be offered at the movie theater until Wednesday. And some of the proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity.

“I hope it becomes very, very successful as it used to be before the hurricane,” Debbie Zeiring Wyman said. “It’s nice to see something like this theater that went through a lot with the hurricane come back, and I think it’s a big positive for the community.”
