Driver arrested in Estero I-75 hit-and-run had no license or insurance

According to Florida Highway Patrol, one man has been arrested for a hit-and-run-crash on I-75 Tuesday.

FHP says a Moises Hernandez, 29, of Naples was driving a Chevrolet van traveling south on I-75 near mile marker 124 as a Jeep was traveling south on I-75 ahead of the van.

Hernandez rear-ended the Jeep, causing the Jeep to crash into the grass shoulder and flip over.

FHP says Hernandez fled the scene and his van was later located unoccupied on Corkscrew Road west of the I-75 near 123 exit ramp.

Hernandez was arrested later the same day and faces charges of leaving the scene with an injury, leaving the scene with property damage, No license, careless driving, and no insurance.
