M-15 attacked by an owl. (Credit: Dick Pritchett Real Estate Inc.) The owl strikes again. A great horned owl took a swipe at M15 early Wednesday morning. The owl hit the male eagle while he was sleeping on a branch and knocked him off. M-15 and Harriet the bald eagle kept watch for awhile afterward. The swipe comes a day after Harriet laid the first eagle egg of the season. A group of eagle watchers came out Wednesday morning in North Fort Myers to check out the expecting parents. Harriet had the earliest egg arrival. Right now, Harriet stands over her egg as M15 stands nearby. Watch live here.
