Fort Myers Police Department says police successfully calmed a situation with a “distraught individual” near Edison Mall in Fort Myers Friday.
According to FMPD, police responded to a plaza across from Edison Mall, where they were able to calm down an individual in distress.
The roadway is clear after police blocked a portion of US-41 at Courtney Drive during the response.
The scene is clear, and Fort Myers police say there is no danger to the public.
