The early voting location at the Punta Gorda Historic Courthouse has closed after a poll worker reportedly had contact with someone who has COVID-19.

The voting locations at Mid-County Regional Library, 2050 Forrest Nelson Blvd. in Port Charlotte, and the West County Annex, 6868 San Casa Dr. in Englewood, remain open.

You can also still pick up or drop off a vote-by-mail ballot at the Punta Gorda Old Court House Main Office. It has to be returned by 7 p.m. Aug. 18.

The Punta Gorda Historic Courthouse is only used for early voting and is not a polling location on Election Day.
