They join another 80 residents from Southwest Florida who took a bus to Washington D.C. on Tuesday to protest the certification of the Electoral College votes that would make Joe Biden the President-elect. The protestors in Collier County say they want their voices heard. They gathered at the intersection of Immokalee and Livingston roads. “We’re not burning buildings or torching cars or beating people up. We are just wanting people to know that we know what the truth is, and we are going to vote people in office who speak the truth not tell us lies and turn their backs on us when we need them,” said one protestor.
