Catalytic converter theft suspect identified as Port Charlotte man

A Port Charlotte man has been identified as a suspect in more than one catalytic converter theft dating back to July.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office posted a video of one theft that occurred on July 29 in Port Charlotte. The man seen has been identified as Jason Fisher, 46, who is also a suspect in another catalytic converter theft, part of a rash of thefts of the expensive pieces of equipment that occurred earlier in the summer.

Anyone with information on Fisher’s whereabouts can contact CCSO via its non-emergency number (941) 639-0013 or message it through Facebook or its free mobile app. You may also be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000 by submitting a tip through Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477 or online.
