Giving Tuesday 2021 in Southwest Florida

For the past nine years, nonprofits across Southwest Florida have kicked off the holiday season with Giving Tuesday—an international movement that rallies the entire world for a day of doing good. Beyond donating money, the campaign calls for people to give back in any way they can—contributing financially, donating time and skills, promoting an organization’s efforts or simply doing something nice for a neighbor.

Giving Tuesday operates under the notion that any little bit we do helps, and it provides a great opportunity for our philanthropic community to show the generous heart of Southwest Florida.

We reached out to our nonprofit friends to find out who is participating in #GivingTuesday on November 30. Join any of these efforts or reach out to the organization you support to see how you can help.

 

• Alliance for the Arts: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to transform lives and improve our community through the arts
• American Cancer Society: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s Hope for the Holidays initiative, which supports the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Hope Lodge in Tampa
• American Heart Association of Southwest Florida: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to remove barriers to health and advance cardiovascular health for all
• Artis—Naples: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to present the finest in visual and performing arts; there is a match of $1 million through June 30, 2022
• Boys & Girls Club of Collier County: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to provide innovative programs designed to empower over 3,000 local youth to excel in school, become good citizens and lead healthy, productive lives
• Cancer Alliance of Naples: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to support local individuals and families touched by cancer by providing financial aid, support, education and information resources; select “Apply My Donation to #GivingTuesday”
• Champions for Learning: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to create life-changing learning experiences for students of Collier County
• Child’s Path: With a $10,000 match from the Perna-Rose Foundation for Hope, funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s Resiliency Program fundraising efforts, helping the youngest children in our community overcome trauma, barriers and build self-sufficiency
• Conservancy of Southwest Florida: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to protect Southwest Florida’s water, land, wildlife and future
• Edison and Ford Winter Estates: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s mission to provide the community with unique educational experiences based on the artifacts, legacy and lives of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford and their time here in Florida
• Golisano Children’s Hospital: With a $3 million challenge grant from the Wasie Foundation, funds raised will go toward three programs: Kids’ Minds Matter, Neurosurgery and the Golisano Specialty Clinic in Naples, all of which impact the landscape of children’s healthcare for families in Southwest Florida
• Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples: With a $25,000 match, funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to serve the community through education classes and camps, community outreach and ever-changing exhibits
• Grace Place: Funds raised will go toward helping feed the families of the nonprofit this holiday season
• Guadalupe Center: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to break the cycle of poverty through education for the children of Immokalee
• Gulf Coast Humane Society: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to care for companion pets in need by offering safe refuge, providing medical care and facilitating adoptions
• Gulfshore Playhouse: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to enrich the cultural landscape of our region by producing professional theatre to the highest artistic standards and providing educational opportunities
• Humane Society Naples: With a $50,000 match, funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to shelter animals in times of need, locating life-long homes and advocating for responsible pet ownership
• The Immokalee Foundation: Funds will go toward purchasing bikes of gifts for The Foundation’s students and families
• LARC Inc.: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to empower and support individuals with disabilities and their families to achieve their full potential
• Naples Children & Education Foundation: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to help at-risk and underprivileged children in our community
• The Naples Players: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to enrich, educate and entertain our community through a superior theatre experience
• NCH: Funds raised will go toward the NCH Greatest Needs Fund, which ensures NCH has the resources necessary to respond quickly during critical times
• Neighborhood Health Clinic: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to deliver quality medical and dental care to low-income, working, but uninsured, Collier County adults
• Opera Naples: With a $50,000 match from Wendy Needham, funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to be a professional opera company known for excellence and innovation by presenting quality opera, musical performances, education and community engagement programs
• Ronald McDonald House Charities: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s 25-For-25 Campaign, which helps the nonprofit continue to provide services and impact to children and families
• Shelter for Abused Women & Children: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s general fund, which was impacted during the pandemic due to the loss of in-person fundraisers
• St. Matthew’s House: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to provide housing for the homeless, food for the needy and comfort for the addicted and suffering
• STARability: With a $23,000 match, funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to help their STAR participants live, work and thrive in Southwest Florida
• United Arts Council: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to support artists and programs that help the arts community thrive
• Valerie’s House: With a $20,000 match from the Rist Family Foundation, funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to help children and families work through the loss of a loved one together and go on to live fulfilling lives
• Wellfit Girls: Funds raised will go toward scholarships for at-need, teen girls to participate in Summit Sisters, a four-week program focused on leadership development, fitness and nutrition, self-care and wellness, and social entrepreneurship for high school girls in Lee and Collier County
• Wonder Gardens: With a $10,000 match, funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to inspire conservation and resiliency by providing transformative experiences of wonder in the natural world
• Youth Haven: Funds raised will go toward the nonprofit’s continued efforts to support their programs and services for children and teens
