According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, FWC has responded to the Publix on Randall Boulevard to search for the marsupial. An FWC spokesperson said after investigating the area where the supposed kangaroo was loose, the information given by law enforcement turned out to be false. In July 2020, Fort Lauderdale Police captured a kangaroo running loose in a neighborhood. This is a developing story, and WINK News will update this article with more information when it becomes available.
