A rock monument was unveiled at Cape Coral on Hurricane Ian’s one-year anniversary.

It perfectly represents our area after Hurricane Ian: solid as a rock.

It is meant to remember the impact Hurricane Ian had on Cape Coral, to honor those who lost their lives, and to recognize the nearly 1,300 city employees who responded to the calls for help.

This new monument will stand forever in Cape Coral.
