Investigation at Alva School in Lee County

Published: Updated:

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office reported that its School Threat Enforcement Team was called to the Alva School Friday morning. They responded after a threat at the school.

The school’s principal reached out to parents about the incident explaining someone’s accused of making a bomb threat.

Good morning Rambler Family,

As you arrive at school this morning you will notice a large law enforcement presence.  First and foremost, please know our school is safe. A suspect is in custody for allegedly making a bomb threat on social media against our school. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says the threat is not credible, but out of an abundance of caution, swept the entire campus this morning. They found nothing of concern. Teaching and learning will continue as normal today. We appreciate your patience, trust and understanding.
