18-year-old arrested after high-speed chase in stolen vehicle, crashing into building in Collier County

An 18-year-old has been arrested after allegedly leading Collier County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle over the weekend.

According to deputies, on Saturday, 18-year-old Gustavo Urquiza was arrested after a stolen pick-up was heading Northbound on U.S. 41.

When they tried to stop the pick-up, Urquiza took off, reaching 115 miles per hour at one point.

The chase came to an end when Urquiza failed to make a turn at 17th Avenue Southwest and hit a building.

Urquiza faces multiple charges, including grand theft, fraud and burglary.
