A man has been arrested after allegedly running two illegal gambling businesses in Englewood

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the Tiffany Square Bingo Hall in Englewood in recent months.

According to the sheriff’s office, a search warrant was obtained, and deputies seized approximately 196 electronic gaming machines.

That bingo hall is now permanently closed.

Information gathered from the Tiffany Square bust led detectives to clues in their investigation of another Englewood location, the Cornerstone Arcade.

The owner of Tiffany Square and Cornerstone, 53-year-old Salim Qadir, was arrested on multiple charges, including money laundering and maintaining gambling establishments.
