Caught on camera: black bear survives strike by truck on I-75 in Lee County

A Florida black bear survived being hit by a work truck after trying to cross a highway in Lee County, and the moment was caught on a traffic camera.

The bear was caught on video, around 8:30 a.m. Monday, running toward the edge if Interstate 75 at Mile Marker 124 where it was suddenly struck by the truck.

A Florida Department of Transportation camera caught several vehicles stopping, including the truck that hit the animal.

The bear was then seen running back into the woods.
