A Florida black bear survived being hit by a work truck after trying to cross a highway in Lee County, and the moment was caught on a traffic camera. The bear was caught on video, around 8:30 a.m. Monday, running toward the edge if Interstate 75 at Mile Marker 124 where it was suddenly struck by the truck. A Florida Department of Transportation camera caught several vehicles stopping, including the truck that hit the animal. The bear was then seen running back into the woods. WINK News has reached out to the Florida Highway Patrol and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for more information.
