The My Safe Florida Home program is now accepting new applicants

Would you like a free home inspection and cash to upgrade your windows and doors and strengthen your roof?

The My Safe Florida Home program has now begun to accept applications for anyone with a home valued up to $700,000, with homestead exemptions and proof of insurance.

The program will prioritize senior citizens and low-income Floridians.

The My Safe Florida Home program will categorize eligibility based on income level starting from Tuesday through Aug. 31.

Provided below is a list of dates and categories for the home inspection program:

  • Low-income homeowners 60 and older: July 2-15.
  • Low-income homeowners of any age: July 16-30
  • Moderate-income homeowners 60 and older: July 31-Aug. 14
  • Moderate-income homeowners of any age: Aug. 15-29
  • All other eligible Florida homeowners: Aug. 31
