Three people safely escaped a blazing building in South Fort Myers. Firefighters were on scene late Wednesday at the home located on Westminster Drive near McGregor Boulevard. The roof of the home sustained fire damages and the garage attached to the home has been destroyed. WINK News was on the scene while firefighters combated the blaze, extinguishing it within 15 minutes of arrival. Interior damages have been reported; however, some valuables, like family photos, were salvaged. The state fire marshal was called to assist in the investigation, with early results ruling the house fire accidental.
