PARIS (AP) – A French police official says two brothers suspected of carrying out the terror attack on a newspaper in Paris appear to have taken a hostage.
A massive operation is unfolding today in a town in northeast France, near Charles de Gaulle airport. And the airport has closed 2 runways because of the standoff.
Helicopters and hundreds of security forces backed by ambulances have streamed to the town, where Cherif (sheh-REEF’) and Said Kouachi (sah-EED’ koo-AH’-shee) are believed to be holed up.
France’s interior minister confirms the police operation.
